Consultation is an opportunity for clinicians to get support from other clinicians while they navigate the dynamic nature of the therapeutic relationship and their own humanity.

Consultation offers support through learning, skill development, and addressing the human experience of the therapist that can be activated in their relationship with the client. Often, just one hour-long consultation helps the therapist to increase awareness of these dynamics so they can support clients better.

Currently available consultations:

A woman with curly hair smiling and making a peace sign while sitting on a sofa with a furry pillow, during a consultation or interview with a therapist or counselor.

Therapists are human too! Consultation offers a space for the consultee to sift through the human experience of being a therapist.

The Human Therapist

A therapy session with a therapist sitting on a clear acrylic chair, hands clasped, facing a client sitting on a beige sofa. A clipboard with a pen is on a glass coffee table between them.

Areas of specialty Stacy offers consultation on include:

  • Trauma-Informed practice (level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional)

  • Existential/Humanistic Theory

  • Relational Depth Theory/Interpersonal Process (working with the moment-to-moment relationship between client and therapist)

  • Ethics

Skill Development

A woman with short brown hair and glasses sitting on a cream-colored couch, holding a notebook and pen, speaking to a group of blurred individuals in a cozy room with brick wall and curtains.

Clinical supervision offers a confidential space for the consultee to conceptualize and discuss cases that they may need additional support on. In the process between consultant and consultee, we will sort through the specifics of your individual case(s) and conceptualize the complexities of the human dynamics you are engaging with. I will help you create ways to work most effectively with the specific presentation of the client in tandem with your style of therapy and the clients defined goals.

Case Conceptualization

All consultations can be scheduled as an individual or a group. Let us know your preference when you reach out.

“Stacy is the first person I think of when I have a clinical question or need competent input as I conceptualize a client and their treatment. She has been an extremely helpful consulting partner over the years and I am a better therapist because of her.”
